This site has a dense Thalassia bed, intermixed with Syringodium, red, brown, and green algae. A storm event in March 1996 has left a bare area several meters in diameter. Old Thalassia rhizomes are buried by 0.5 meters of sand. A lot of detritus and debris still remain in the grass bed. Drift algae (red) is abundant. The water depth is 4.5 meters and the substrate is sand.
