Laura A. Ogden
Assistant Professor, SERC/Global and Sociocultural Studies
Dr. Ogden is an environmental anthropologist who specializes in the politics of landscape change. In the broadest sense, her research seeks to understand the ways in which human and nonhuman processes interact to create landscape, with a particular emphasis on the politics that shape environmental change. Her research falls into two thematic areas: 1) the environmental history of the Florida Everglades; and 2) land use/land cover change in southern Florida. Dr. Ogden is a co-PI on the Florida Coastal Everglades Long-Term Ecological Research program.
